1. Gold and Silver Found.
Almost every collector has seen these claims, but are they true? Gold coins will never be found in any lot of uncleaned coins. The diggers have already found these coins as they are easy to find visually and by metal detector. Many sellers on ebay will bolster this claim by simply lying, having a friend claim so in their feedback, or putting pieces of indian fanam gold coins which resemble ancient coins into the lot you purchase. If you see a seller claim gold can be found, condider it one of many lies to come.
Silver coins are very uncommon, but the possibilty exist. These coins are usually hidden under heavy encrustation. Again the diggers will find and seperate any silver coin found. Wile the possibility exist, you have a better chance at winning the lottery.
2. "Buy From me Im the #1 Source"
Another claim a seller will make is they have supply directly from the source. There are basically only two to three people in the U.S. getting coins directly from the source, and about 20 sellers making the claim. As noted above once a seller makes a false claim consider it as one of many lies to follow
3. Over inflated shipping cost.
Always read the shipping portion of the sellers terms & condtitions. Sellers do incur others cost, such as shipping supplies and labor. A reasonable handling fee in expected, but some sellers will ship in a plain evelope and stamp yet charge you $7 for shipping and handling.
